April 21, 2008 Wellington's Interment

The foundation was poured on April 21st for the new multi-purpose sanctuary. We used this occasion as an opportunity to place the ashes of Ray Wellington in the foundation of the building. Ray was a faithful leader in our congregation for many years until his death six years ago. He is also the leader who prompted the vision for renovated and expanded facilities as a way of better enabling the church to provide an effective witness in this community well into the 21st century. We are building this church and ministry upon the firm foundation of faith of those who have gone before us.
